Meet Susan Pedo
Susan chose to build a life in Albany. Born in Detroit and raised in raised in a small town in Wisconsin, she put herself through Marquette University with a mix of scholarships, student loans and jobs. She received a full scholarship to attend graduate school at the Flinders University of South Australia, where she completed a thesis on the impact of the Murdoch media empire on land use issues. She came to Albany for a New York State Senate Fellowship. During her time working in the State Legislature, Susan was awarded the Women’s Press Club scholarship to pursue further graduate studies in Women and Public Policy at the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College, later completing her Master of Public Administration in Public Finance.
